JANUARY 2010

Well foaling season is over for another year and we have seven beautiful foals on the ground.  Of the seven foals, five were by our resident Welsh A stallion "View Bank Boston". He blessed us with 3 Fillies and 2 colts. The stud is retaining 2 of the fillies, the other filly and 2 colts are for sale. We also had foals due from two outside stallions, the first a chestnut filly out of Tooravale Tanaya (Welsh B) and by Imperial Jerada.  The second is a Colt (colour undetermined- Welsh A) out of Nattai Early Morn by Lenson Park Prelude.

In recent months there have been several new additions to our stud. The first was the purchase of Tiger Lily KEI, a purebred arabian mare in November, she has been bred to our resident Arabian stallion "Son of a Kiss", this will be his first foal due for several years.

Also purchased was the Riding Pony/Arabian Pony/Part Welsh mare Foxfire Swan Bay, she was purchased with a view to breeding to Karanga Sea Eagle in a couple of years. She will be bred next season to an outside Riding Pony Stallion.

Quamby Park Hylight and Coleemyn Park Charmed are to stay with us for another year, and hopefully give us another foal each before going back home.  Hylight is going home to well deserved retirement and Charmed to a show career (Leading Rein). Coleemyn Park Pretty Picture (Weston Mistletoe x Mystic Park Pretty Margarite) will be joining the stud in coming months.  She is currently being bred to Coleemyn Park Ambition for a 2010/11 foal.

Our most recent, and possibly most exciting news is the purchase of a Welsh A Colt for showing and future stud duties.  I have purchased Woranora Phoenix from Helen Dohan of Woranora Stud in N.S.W.  Phoenix is a gorgeous Buckskin Roan colt by Imperial Behold and out of Stanton Park Peggoty. He will join the stud around April after weaning. It has been our wish to purchase such a colt from Helen Dohan for several years and it is finally happening.
